Marcus Stumpf

Biographic information:

Prof. Dr. Marcus Stumpf has been working as consultant, lecturer and manager in Germany, Austria and Switzerland for more than ten years. He was Senior Consultant at ZMU Marketingakademie in Oestrich-Winkel and as Managing Director in charge of marketing and managing the brand of the second biggest German sports association. The founder and director of Salzburger Marketing Institut (SMI) and university professor now provides expertise as self-employed consultant combining his academic background with his professional experience.

 

Academic career:

Marcus Stumpf earned a doctor’s degree while working as junior lecturer and research associate to Prof. Dr. Manfred Bruhn at Basel University providing a thesis on the topic “Success Control of Integrated Communications”. After more than 5 years as head of the department and chairholder in Marketing and Relationship Management at the Business Administration programme of Salzburg University of Applied Sciences he is as of 2015 Professor for Marketing and Brand Management at the Stuttgart site of the Hochschule Macromedia, University of Applied Sciences, as well as head of the Media School.

 

Research focus:

Integrated Communications, Communications in Non Profit Organisations, Brand management and Branding, Employer Branding.
