Biography:

Christopher Schmidt studied German, French and English in Kiel and Åbo. Since 1989 lecturer at Åbo Akademi University in German Business Communication. 1994 licentiate thesis, in 2000 PhD. Founder of the interdisciplinary and intercultural Masters program of Intercultural Business Communication within the German Department at the Åbo Akademi University.

 

Main research areas:

Intercultural business communication, market communication, cognitive linguistics, metaphorology, LSP theory, text theory, semiotics.
